Dr. Travis Batts has practiced medicine for greater than ten years. He is a board-certified cardiac specialist with a focus on disease prevention, nutrition, fitness optimization and cardiovascular screening. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas. He is a former division 1 athlete, who lettered in track and field, while at the University of Kansas. He obtained his medical doctorate (MD) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He currently serves as the Chairman of Medical Sub-specialties and Medical Director of the Cardiology clinic at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center. He is an associate professor of cardiovascular medicine for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Dr. Batts is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and serves on the National Nutritional Working Group. He, also, serves as a scientific contributor to local vegan/vegetarian restaurants.
